Connecting to an existing case management system
Hiermelden is intended as the place where residents report. Councils should be able to handle the work in a system that suits them.
What is case management?
A case management system helps staff track work. It can record report details, an assigned member of staff, tasks and progress. A case file keeps information together; working agreements define how the problem is handled.
From report to case file
The planned integration sends the location, topic, explanation and optional photo to the handling system. Contact details are only transferred if the resident added them for contact about the report. Status and outcome information can then return to Hiermelden.
Free Checkmaster integration
We are developing a free integration with Checkmaster for case management. It will be available before the live launch, with no additional integration charge for this connector. This does not make a Hiermelden or Checkmaster subscription free. The integration is not working yet.
Connecting another system
If a council uses another reporting or case management system, we will assess the available integration options. Data, access and status mapping need to be agreed. Availability and costs will be discussed in advance. Support for every system has not been promised.
Agreeing the process
Before connecting, we agree who assesses reports, where the handling status is managed and what residents are told. We also test outages and reports about already known problems, to avoid handling the same report independently in two systems.
