How can Hiermelden help a council?

Residents see what happens in their neighbourhood every day. Clear reports can help councils respond to specific problems.

A location staff can find

A map point, address and extra location details help identify the spot. The bench by the park entrance is easier to find than a street name alone. A photo can help explain the situation.

Useful information from the start

Topics and example phrases help residents describe problems. This may reduce follow-up questions. Additional fields remain optional to keep straightforward reports easy to submit.

Visibility of existing reports

Residents can see problems already reported. We plan to link multiple reports about one problem to a single handling record. This feature is not available yet.

Understanding recurring problems

Reports may highlight repeated litter or paving issues and help plan maintenance. Report numbers do not give a complete picture: not everyone reports, and one problem may produce several reports.

Working with existing processes

We aim to deliver reports to the right team or existing system. Reports are currently saved in Hiermelden. Council handling, integrations and actual updates still need to be implemented. A pilot can help test the process together.
